Spring Inspo: the 90s are Back
Is it just me, or does a 90s springtime sounds like a DREAM?
Kids and neighbor kids run around the house with dirty feet. The cracking sound of opening canned bubble water and laughter fills the house. Sun peeks into the windows between quick-moving clouds. Obviously I’m baking brownies while cleaning, prepping lunch, and getting snacks for the kiddos (again). I’m listening to my true crime podcast, but no one is watching a screen.
I am absolutely DREAMING of creating a 90s inspired spring for my family.
While slowly working on flipping my 90s upscale house, I’m also getting inspo from 5 simple products:
All the BBQ Stuff - In the PNW, I (pretty much) never grill between November and March. Now that spring is here, things are rusted from winter, and the fam’s gotta eat. I need to restock my BBQ supplies >
Lip Balm & Chokers - I’m smashing these two faves together! First off, I just feel better about giving Burt’s Bees to my kid than the old Lip Smackers. My almost-10-year-old loves the flavors, slight tint, and quality. I’ll use it for Easter baskets, spring break kits, and fanny packs updates > And honestly, I’ll do the same for the 90s chokers. My kid loves ‘em and I wish I could pull them off. Then again, maybe I can….? >
Kodak Single Use Camera - I LIVED for taking photos on my disposable cameras during spring break. Early selfies with friends, shots with characters at Disneyland, and photos of my cousin’s cat we cat-sat that one time but they somehow take up too much real estate in my old scrapbook (!?). Do your kid a favor (and keep your phone to yourself) by getting them a few disposable cameras for the season > Don’t forget to get them developed!
Swiffer Power Mop - obviously, for those dirty footprints all over my newly painted tile entry! Let’s Swiffer it away >
Clinique - any millennial will agree that Clinique was a staple in the late 90s and early 00s that stayed around for a reason. This spring you can finally shop Clinique on Amazon! Get your fave products here >
